Avengers: Endgame – Complete Marvel Universe Easter Eggs and MCU Reference Guide. (2019, May 01).

Lam, K. (n.d.). ‘Avengers: Endgame’ spoilers tweeted out by NFL player LeSean ‘Shady’ McCoy spark outrage.

In the last recent days, Avengers End Game has swept the box office. The opening weekend it reached 357 million dollar in ticket sales. It a record breaking movie. Now, with all the hype of movie it has Moviegoers excitement, and adrenaline going. Movies never really lead to acts of violence, only if  it inside of the film. In this case fans are becoming violent.

In Hong Kong, A man was beat-up for spoiling the movies. I Do not think it is okay to spoil movies in front of theaters, so many feel that the person who beats the movie spoiler up there should be consequences. It is proper human etiquette to now spoil movies to others.

On Twitter, it has became a major issue because people are spoiling it throughout these social media platforms. LeSean McCoy, NFL player from the Buffalo Bills tweeted about the ending of the movie. Spoiling it for his major following, and fans were not happy. It came to an extent that ‘Captain America’ (Chris Evans)  from avengers had to put out PSA video on twitter for people to be respectful of others to not spoil it for others.

LIKE This for Instagram Getting Rid of Likes

Martin, N.(2019, May 01). Instagram May Be Getting Rid of ‘Likes’ On Platform.

Instagram has made a proposal to take away likes from pictures. This has been a huge controversy throughout users because many feel like it is not that big of deal, and people make their living off of the amount of likes they receive. Instagram feels like the cite is becoming too competitive, and it make users pay for likes to get that sense of accomplishment. Instagram new Prototype will work in the sense of you being able to see who liked your pictures, and the number of like on your pictures. Others will not be able to the number of likes you receive.

I honestly do like this idea, because I know many people who become self conscious if they do not get a certain amount of likes on a picture they uploaded. Which, turns into them deleting it off their page, and having regret because it was not “Good Enough.” it’s kind of sad how likes on picture justify a person, and their confidence; there is more to self confidence then how many Instagram likes you recieve. Also, instagram is about sharing your creative and being yourself on your own profile, and social “rules” are taking over people’s creative insight to fit into the social norms.

Therefore, I Believe Likes do not define an individual so if Instagram decides to take likes off or not I do not think it will make a difference, and I will still use the App Daily.

Facebook New Redesign Trying to Gain Their Reputation Back

Isaac, M. (2019, April 30). Facebook Unveils Redesign as It Tries to Move Past Privacy Scandals.

This past December Facebook was in huge a huge privacy scandal. The scandal consisted of Facebook giving over 6.8million users information out to third-parties without informing anyone. These third parties had access to everything from User phone numbers, to password. YES, Passwords the one thing you rely on to keep your information secure and safe.

Now facebook is trying a new redesign on their network by allowing users to make group messaging with friends. Mark Zuckerberg believes that this will help bring communities together, and help people stay connected. I feel like they are kind of late to do this design, because instagram, twitter, and even snapchat have these feature so it really won’t make a difference. Also, This “New” redesign does not do justice for exposing peoples in private information. Facebook is however paying 5 billion dollars to the Federal Trade Commission for the privacy scandal.

I feel like that is not enough justice for the users though.

After that scandal I would not go on Facebook ever again. I personally do not have a Facebook anymore because I found know use for it. I have friends that use Facebook daily and when I made them aware of what happened they did not trust the cite anymore.

Nickolai, N., & Nickolai, N. (2019, April 08). Lily Tomlin, Kathy Griffin Help Open New Los Angeles LGBT Campus.

On April 7th, 2019 actress Lily Tomlin, and Kathy Griffin celebrate the opening of the Anita May Rosenstein campus. Anita May Rosenstein campus is open to the LGBTQ community providing over 100 beds for homeless youth and adults. It is a home for the LGBT community; the campus helps provides the tools and the support to help the youth grow comfortably.

The campus helped run by over 350 donors, and 15 six figure donors helped raised 8 million dollars.

I hope the expansion of LGBTQ campuses continue to grow over the next few years from coast to coast. I have family and many close friends in the LBGTQ community and I would never not give them the support they need. Knowing people are not able to receive love and support for their identity, makes me thinks what happens if it was one of my family members. Not having the right support system can be difficult for someone to branch out and feel confident in their own skin. I never want anyone to feel like they do not belong because of their sexual identity. When support system ties are not strong, just know you will always have the support of the Anita May Rosenstein Campus in Los Angeles to help you get the support you need.

Coachella Festival: Safe Spaces to Stop Sexual Harassment

Bernstein, S. (2019, January 03). Coachella Announces 2019 Lineup.

Mims, T. (2019, April 08). Coachella and Stagecoach Designate Safe Spaces to Curb Sexual Harassment.

Coachella is approaching as of Apr. 12th, 2019. Stage coaches are working hard to set up the upcoming festival. This year the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California is setting up safe spaces for women. These safe spaces are for Women who have or are experiencing any sexual misconduct during the event such as, trauma triggers, harassment, sexual assault, and needing skilled compassionate care. The safe spaces are named after the Greek Goddess of safety, and protector of harm, Soteria.

However, Coachella is not the first music festival to use safe spaces. Arizona FORM Festival and the LA woman summit. These safe spaces are ran by “Safety Ambassadors,” who are highly educated on harassment and licensed crisis deescalation professionals.

I believe Sexual harassment safe spaces should be everywhere. Not just at musical festival it should be offered at, schools/university, major sporting events, concerts, work places that are all over the country. Sexual assault happens every 98 seconds in the U.S. We can put an end to this little by little if we all take action in providing proper care everywhere.

Think Twice Movie-Goers.

Maddaus, G., & Maddaus, G. (2019, March 27). How America’s Biggest Theater Chains Are Exploiting Their Janitors.

Image result for movie theater

As the smell of fresh popcorn fills movie-goers noses, and they head for the latest award winning movie. Everyone grabs their seat accordingly, and the theater is filled with about 100 to 150 people. Everyone has their snack rappers, and popcorn buckets, but do people actually get up during the plot of the movie to throw there garbage out? NO. Many people just leave it for the cleaning company or spill their popcorn everywhere with no attempt to clean it up.

Meet Maria Alvarez, she is a janitor at AMC in Santa Monica. She works countless hours cleaning up after movie-goers. She makes about $300 (US) a week and has zero sick days and holidays. Her son recently passed away and asked for time off, and they responded “no” because they needed her to clean the theaters.

Filmmakers depend on movie theaters, and that the best movie experiences happen in theaters. Theaters all across the world are at competing with sites like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon prime. Which is why they want to make sure there theaters are clean at all times. Mrs. Alvarez job is worth way more to the companies then they realize, and $300 a week is not enough.

The entertainment industry needs to do better, and to take care of their workers if they do not want Online streaming to take over. More people need to be aware of issues like this. It is not just happening in the entertainment industry. It is happening everywhere. I want people to be aware of these working conditions, and to think twice before they want to throw there candy rappers and left over food on the floor.

Update on Jussie Smollett Case. Dropped?

Maddaus, G., Rubin, R., Maddaus, G., & Rubin, R. (2019, March 26). Jussie Smollett Claims Vindication as All Charges Dropped.

Empire ex-star Jussie Smollett fake hate crime stunt has recently taking trail. On Jan. 29th , Smollett staged his own hate crime to gain sympathy, and publicity. His alleged attack was by two brothers that poured bleach on Smollett, tied a rope around his neck, and said racial slurs to Smollett he claims. As the case progressed, we find out that he paid the two brothers to perform this hate crime because he was losing fame, and was being cut from the show empire.

Recently, Chicago decide to drop all charges against Smollett. The felt he reach the proper punishment with Volunteer work. I am so surprised Chicago Police let him off easily. When I First saw this article I did not believe it is real because what he did should have more severe punishments. Smollett as a homosexual man in the TV industry, faking uttered slurs of homophobia, and false police reports should not be let off easily. I believe Smollett being let off easier than the average person is because he is famous, and has money. My overall message to Chicago Police, You want people to learn from this, not make it okay to lie to authorities.

Jim Henson is the creator of the famous Kermit the Frog, and Miss Piggy. Throughout the late 70s the Muppet got their own show, starting a puppet revolution in TV shows, movies, and reality talk shows. The muppets had 5 seasons, and went off the air in 1981 due to ratings declining. Although they went off the air they still were stars. Years later in 2011 they made a Muppets movies starring Jason Segel a famous actor in Television and movies today. If the muppets were to air again today on television I believe it would still be just as successful as the 2011 movie. Families are able to enjoy the Muppets because they have been around for generations. Parents now can enjoy the Television, or Movie series if the Muppets come back with their children because they grew up watching the same show. Therefore, I believe that the Muppets legacy will live on for many years because who doesn’t like Kermit the Frog and Little Miss Piggy??

Full House vs. Fuller House

Image result for full house and fuller house

“Full House” first aired in 1987, with the storyline of a single father trying to raise his three daughters. He looks for help from his Brother-in-Law, and best friend to help him raise his daughters. “Full house” was popular during this time period because of all the funny, and crazy drama going on in the house everyday. Every episode there was always a dilemma a character was trying to face. When I was younger I enjoyed watching “Full House” because it had a light comedy to it, and coming from a big family I understood how hectic it could be. When “Fuller House” air in 2016 (a spin off of “Full House” of everyone grown up) I was extremely disappointed. The show “Fuller House” kind of ruined the amazing “Full House” for me. It was not even the same cast, what is “Full House” without Uncle Joey? and Michelle? Fuller House does not have most of the famous main character that made the show famous. Also, Fuller House mainly flashes back on “Full House” because “Full House” was so great. My point here is shows in past should be left the way they were, because it can ruin the value of how great a show once was. “Fuller House” had such hype behind it because the true die-hard fan base was excited to relive the theme song “Everywhere you go” before their favorite show again, but it only led them to be disappointed. Therefore, many shows ended for a reason, and they should not be brought back twenty four years later.

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was first aired in the early 90s. The show was a huge hit and had six successful seasons. Now this show occasionally airs reruns, and people still continue to watch it. The show is based off a young adult moving out West Philadelphia, because the urban city is growing to violent. For his own safety, and better life his mom made him move out to Bel Air with his aunt and uncle.
The “Fresh Prince of Bel air” is famous for the upbringing of the popular actor Will Smith; he is a successful actor today starring in many big time movies. The show was so successful at this time because of the concept of someone moving out and experiencing a new life style of life was not common for a male growing up in an urban society. Will Smith in the show has to adjust to learn how to be comfortable being uncomfortable in a new way of life. Smith in the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” has to adjust to more a strict lifestyle he is not familiar with at under his Aunt and Uncle’s rules.
I believe now if this show was around today it would not be as popular. During this time period it was an uncommon topic, but today many people move away to have better life and experience different opportunities. If a show was made like this today, I believe it would not air as long as the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” did. Today there are many shows are made like this trying to reach the in between of having a comedic spin to it, while still managing to touch serious life lessons. After the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” era, there were many shows trying to reach a similar storyline like “Everybody Hates Chris” and “My Wife and Kids.”
